Introduction of a Jersey Girl

A lot of you that have started to read the blog in its startup stage already know me. But in the case you're one of my Tweeps, who don't know me aside from my love of everything New York Mets, I'll introduce myself the best way I know how.

I'm twenty years old (as of writing this) and I'm a student at Rutgers University, where I'm a Political Science Major and Spanish Minor and help raise Seeing Eye Puppies.

I'm a huge sports fan, with baseball and the New York Mets being my greatest (although not my first) love. This past May, I was hired to work for the Mets and it truly has been a dream come true. Granted, I will not be writing anything here in regards to anything I do inside the organization, but it's still a little fun fact.

In my spare time, I'm a TV and movie junkie, watching anything and everything I can get my hands on. As my roommate will attest to, rarely a night goes by where I don't fall asleep watching SOMETHING.

Now that it's summer and the major TV season is over, I'll list all of the shows that I'll be carrying my affinity for into the fall and the ones I'll give a chance:

ABC: Desperate Housewives, Modern Family, V. (New shows: Scoundrels, No Ordinary Family, Mr. Sunshine)

AMC: Breaking Bad, Mad Men

CBS: Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother (New shows: $#*! My Dad Says)

CW: Smallville, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries

Fox: The Cleveland Show, Family Guy, Fringe, Glee, House, Human Target, So You Think You Can Dance

NBC: 30 Rock, Chuck, The Office

Yeah... you think I have an entertainment obsession or what?

Baseball aside, my summer hobby is usually gardening and on any given weekend, you'll find me at a local nursery or a big chain like Lowes or Home Depot. I love everything from climbing vines like clematis, morning glory, moonflower, and cardinal climber to lilies to roses and pride myself on edible gardening. Just wait until all of my tomatoes and peppers start getting picked... it's like a rainbow in a bowl.

Being a girl, you'll find a lot of stuff about bargains, trips to Canal Street, nail polish, and other things like that on here. So be warned.

But despite all of the years it's been, and how many different kinds of lip gloss I own, I'll always be the tomboy that played football every day during recess at heart.
